Furniture Seconds: Striped Table with A-Frame Base

An A-frame ‘Zeppelin’ metal base has been combined with a painted wooden top to make this contemporary poseur table.

The wooden table top displays indentations and scrapes where the surface paint has been damaged, but as the wood has a natural grain and grooves, these imperfections add to the character of this piece.

The laser-cut steel base is manufactured here in the UK; it has a traditional A-frame shape but with a contemporary industrial appearance. With the wooden top being a generous 200cm x 70cm, this tall table would be best suited to bars, restaurants and bistros, or would make a great feature for a home bar.
